Pre & Post Ultherapy^® Treatment Instructions and Expectations

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

• Gently wash the treatment area with a mild cleanser.
• Do not apply any creams, lotions, foundation, powder or other products prior to treatment.
• Take 800mg Ibuprofen or 1000mg Acetaminophen 30min prior to treatment

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

• Skin effects can begin to be seen within a few days of treatment.
• Optimal results will take 2-3months.
• Significant weight loss can impact results.

For best results:

• Stay hydrated
• Use SPF 30+ with Zinc Oxide and/or Titanium Dioxide daily.
• Follow a good skin care regimen
• Significant fluctuations in weight may impact results

For the next 24-48 hours AVOID:

• Use of Retin-A or similar products that could cause skin irritation
• Taking Advil (ibuprofen)
• Use of ice on the treatment area

Some treatments may be performed on the same day. Once complete, AVOID any additional procedures to the treatment area (including cosmetic treatments) for 2 weeks.

After treatment, slight redness, swelling, tenderness, tingling or numbness and occasionally bruising in the treatment area is normal and can persist for 14 days on average.

• Take Tylenol (acetaminophen) as needed for pain
• Apply Vitamin E or Aloe Vera to help soothe and calm the treatment area
• Hydrocortisone cream can be applied to decrease itch
• If symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks, call the clinic to speak with a medical professional
• If symptoms worsen or you are experiencing symptoms other than the ones listed above, call the clinic to speak with a medical professional.
